BigBasket crossed a milestone in sales in FY'21, clocking in over$1 billion in sales as the pandemic rush pushed customers online.

Tata Group owned BigBasket is the second Indian after after Myntra to achieve the $1 billion sales milestone as a specialist delivery startup. Larger format e-tailers such as Amazon India and Walmart backed Flipkart have achieved $1 billion sales earlier.

ET reports that FY'21 saw sales for BigBasket rise 80% vs 40% pre-pandemic and that trend is continuing. The CEO stated the company is seeing higher sales than last year’s peak in July and it would be around 40% higher compared to March 2021.
