BCCI Treasurer Arun Dhumal has rubbished claims of split captaincy in Indiana cricket after the World T20. In an interaction with IANS, he said that the talks are all rubbish and nothing such is happening. BCCI has not met or discussed anything on the split captaincy issue, Dhumal added.
Times of India had earlier reported a BCCI official of telling them that Virat Kohli is likely to step down as the white-ball captain after the World T20, paving the way for Rohit Sharma to lead India in ODIs and T20I. The report added that Virat and Rohit were on the same page and Kohli wanted to focus on his batting. However, Board treasurer's clarity has more or less put the controversy to rest for now.
