Battlegrounds Mobile India, the new avatar of PUBG in the country, could launch on June 18, according to a report by IGN India.
The game is already up for pre-registration on the Google Play Store, but no official release date has been announced yet.
Krafton is the developer of the new game, which will feature gameplay similar to PUBG Mobile, which was banned by the government in September last year.
Battlegrounds Mobile India also touts an esports ecosystem, with tournaments and leagues planned for pro players.
