After reports emerged that Battlegrounds Mobile India still sends user data to China, an update for the game has fixed the issue.
IGN India reports that after a hotfix rolled out to all users, the game no longer pings any Chinese servers.
Battlegrounds Mobile India is the new avatar of PUBG Mobile, which was banned by the government last year due to security concerns.
The game is developed by South Korean developer Krafton, who say that user data is only stored on servers in India and Singapore, in accordance with India’s IT laws.
