BJP's Suvendu Adhikari on Friday filed his nomination from Nandigram for the upcoming Assembly election in West Bengal. Adhikari, a former minister of the TMC led Bengal government, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in December 2020.
Just two days ago, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had filed her nomination from Nandigram, leaving her seat from Bhawanipore for the first time.
West Bengal goes to polls in an eighth-phased assembly election from March 27.
