Union minister Babul Supriyo, Locket Chatterjee, Nisith Pramanik are some of BJP MPs from West Bengal who have been named as candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in state.
The BJP on Sunday announced 27 candidates for the 3rd phase & 38 candidates for the 4th phase of polls in West Bengal and it seems like they are banking on faces who helped them win an unprecedented 18 Lok Sabha seats from the state in 2019.
BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Swapan Dasgupta will also be contesting and has been fielded from Tarakeshwar. Former TMC minister Rajib Banerjee will be contesting from Domjur, he won the 2011 and 2016 state polls from this seat.
