Ahead of the November Presidential election, President Trump announced the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca has reached phase three of clinical trials. Trump expressed for a hopeful approval soon and told the reporters that no one thought US would be able to develop the vaccine so soon, which otherwise can take years to develop. The vaccine candidate would be tried on 30,000 US nationals across 80 cities. AstraZeneca is one of the leaders to develop Covid-19 vaccine in the United States amongst Moderna and Pfizer Inc.
