AIMIM chief Owaisi who is on a 3-day visit to poll-bound Uttar Pradesh has landed himself in trouble with the law.
The Uttar Pradesh Police has booked AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, in Barabanki, for allegedly disrupting communal harmony, violating Covid-19 norms and making indecent remarks against the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The charges were levied against him following a rally organised by his party on Thursday. In the rally Owaisi alleged said there have been efforts to turn the country into a 'Hindu Rashtra' since he came to power in 2014.
