He had been granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday in the drugs-on-cruise case but had to spend Friday night in jail as well after his legal team missed the 05:30 pm deadline to submit the required documents.
Shah Rukh Khan's actor-friend Juhi Chawla stood as surety for the 23-year-old before the special court.
Aryan was granted bail on a bond of ₹1 lakh rupees. His co-accused in the case, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were also granted bail.
The trio will have to present themselves at the NCB office each Friday between 11 am and 2 pm.
