Apple has announced a new service programme that will fix or replace faulty AirPods Pro earbuds for users experiencing sound issues. These affected units are said to have been produced before October 2020. The programme offered by the American tech giant is applicable globally but doesn't extend to the standard warranty coverage of the earbuds. To recall, Apple’s latest truly wireless earphones--the AirPods Pro-- went on sale in India last via Apple authorised resellers at ₹24,900. It features significant upgrades including IPX4 water resistance, a new in-ear design with swappable earbuds and active noise cancellation technology.
