Apple has announced a virtual launch event for October, titled ‘Unleashed’. The event will be streamed live at 10.30 PM IST on October 18, and can be viewed on Apple’s website or YouTube.

According to rumours, the event may see the launch of new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, powered by the new speculated Apple M1X chipset, a higher performance variant of the Apple M1.

The laptops may also see the return of an HDMI port, and do away with the touchbar for a row of function keys. A Mac Mini model with the updated chipset is also expected to be announced.

The event could also see the launch of the third-generation AirPods, which may be designed like the current AirPod Pros.
