Hours after being arrested in the Antilia bomb scare and the murder case of businessman Mansukh Hiran, a special NIA court has sent former 'encounter specialist' of Mumbai Police, Pradeep Sharma to custody till June 28.

Earlier in the day, NIA conducted a raid at Pradeep Sharma's house. Sharma was questioned twice earlier by NIA officials in connection with the case.

He is known to be close to former Mumbai Police cop Sachin Vaze, who is also in NIA custody over links to the bomb scare and death of Mansukh Hiran.

The raids and arrest come after the police started looking into possible links between Pradeep Sharma and a man named Santosh Shelar, who was arrested earlier this week in connection with the case. Sharma however dismissed the photographs of them together, saying Shelar was a police informant.
