Another man lynched in Punjab over alleged sacrilege attempt

A day after a man was beaten to death over an alleged attempt of sacrilege in the Golden Temple, another unidentified man was lynched in Kapurthala's Nizampur village on Sunday over allegations of sacrilege.

According to media reports, residents of Nizampur village had caught the man from a gurdwara early this morning. They alleged that he was seen 'disrespecting' Nishan Sahib or the Sikh flag

On Saturday, a man was beaten to death after he allegedly attempted to commit "sacrilege" inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple.

The man was caught by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) task force members.

When he was being taken to the SGPC office, an angry crowd thrashed him badly that later led to his death.
