BJP ruled Madhya Pradesh has joined oppposition ruled states such as Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh in rejecting the Centre's data on vaccine shortage.
MP, which the centre said has a vaccine wastage rate of 10.7%, has indicated there could be issues with the data or a communication gap with the Health Ministry.
State Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang told reporters he has asked his officials to contact their central counterparts and revisit the data for fixing discrepancies.
"According to our calculation, the vaccine wastage is 1.3 per cent," he said.
Earlier Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh had also rejected the Centre's data on high vaccine wastage.
