Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday fled his country with four cars and a chopper stuffed with cash, Russian embassy in Kabul has said, according to a Reuters report.
Quoting a spokesman of Russian embassy in Kabul, the report said that Ghani's team loaded cash in four cars and then stuffed more in a chopper before he fled. The report added that even then the President's team had to leave some money on the tarmac as it would not fit in the cars and chopper.

Ghani said he left Afghanistan on Sunday as the Taliban entered Kabul virtually unopposed. He said he wanted to avoid bloodshed. His current whereabouts are unknown.
President Vladimir Putin's special representative on Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov said earlier it was unclear how much money the fleeing government would leave behind.
