75-yr-old Selvamma in Bengaluru grills corn with solar power

75 year old Selvamma has been selling corn for the past 18 years, she used to fan the corn to grill it standing under the hot sun. But recently her cart was fitted with a solar powered fan to replace her cane fans. "For so many years I have been doing this, they felt I might be tired. They found me two months ago and gave me this" , said Selvamma. SELCO Foundation gave this fan to ease her efforts, so she doesn't have to use the cane fan anymore.
