India has crossed another landmark in its fight against Covid-19. More than 70 Lakh patients have been cured and discharged so far. This has led to a surge in the national recovery rate, which has leaped past 90%, the health ministry said on Monday. The govt added that the achievement is matched by the downward spiral of the total active cases, which are maintained below the seven lakh-mark for the past few days. The daily toll from the infection also continues to experience a downward slope with less than 1,000 deaths since last one week.
