India logs its deadliest day since the start of the Covid pandemic. The country reported 4,205 deaths due to Covid in the last 24 hours, according to the data released by the health ministry on Wednesday morning.
This is the highest number of deaths India has seen in a day. Total deaths due to virus have crossed 2.54 lakh. The country also reported over 3.48 lakh new coronavirus cases in the same period taking the total caseload to over 2.33 crore.
The active case load in the country stands at over 37 lakh. India is battling a devastating second wave of Covid-19 that has raised global concerns.
