3rd ODI: Sri Lanka earn a consolation win against a new-look India

Sri Lanka finally tasted victory on Friday as they beat a new-look India by 3 wickets in the 3rd ODI. India however, won the series 2-1. With that, the Lankans also ended their four-year losing streak in ODIs against India.

Batsmen let the men in blue down as Dhawan's men were bowled out for mere 225. Chasing a revised target of 227 in 47 overs, the hosts raced to 144/1 in the 23rd over. Bowlers tried to bring India back into the contest with quick wickets but the target wasn't big enough. 

Avishka Fernando top-scored with 76 while Bhanuka Rajapaksa made 65 as the hosts crossed the finish line in the 38th over.
