Amid political buzz created by his 2 meetings in two weeks with NCP chief Sharad Pawar, poll strategist Prashant Kishor has ruled out any association with an opposition front to take on the BJP and Narendra Modi in the next general election.

"I don't believe a Third or Fourth Front could emerge as a successful challenge to the current dispensation," Kishor told NDTV.

Calling the Third Front model "archaic", Kishor said that the "tried and tested" formula is not suited to the current political dynamic.

On his meetings with Pawar, Kishor said that the two have hardcore political discussions, going state by state to explore the possibility of what will work in the fight against the BJP, and what won't.
