A former officer of Mumbai Police has made serious allegations against ex-Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh regarding the 26/11 terror attacks in the city.
Former ACP Shamsher Pathan has alleged that Param Bir Singh, who was then posted with the Anti-Terror Squad, took terrorist Ajmal Kasab's phone from a constable and never returned.
In a letter to the Mumbai Police chief, Pathan has alleged that Singh also didn't inform his seniors about the phone.
Pathan said on November 26, 2008, when police arrested Kasab at Girgaum Chowpatty, the police team recovered a phone from the terrorist through which he was taking instruction from him Pakistani handlers.

"This is an issue of national importance and hence this matter needs to be investigated and Param Bir Singh should be arrested," Pathan has stated.
Pathan wrote to the Mumbai Police chief about the matter in July this year and has said that he didn't publicise earlier as the matter concerns national security.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Pathan must be arrested for destruction of evidence. He also alleged that Singh could have sold Kasab's phone to Pakistan intelligence agency ISI.
Former Police chief Param Bir Singh is under investigation for extortion charges. He appeared before the Crime Branch on Thursday after months in hiding.
