The BJP has emerged as the top beneficiary of corporate and individual donations for the seven year in a row.

According to its contribution report submitted to the Election Commission, the BJP received roughly ₹750 crore in donations from companies and individuals in 2019-20.

This is at least five times more than what the Congress party received. The grand old party got ₹139 crore in donations.
Among the regional parties, the NCP got ₹59 crore, TMC ₹8 crore. CPM got ₹19.6 crore, and the CPI ₹1.9 crore in the same period.

The BJP’s income from electoral bonds is not known yet as it’s yet to submit its annual audit report.
