The world's richest man Jeff Bezos is racing ahead with his space ambitions. Bezos founded space company Blue Origin has kicked off it's second round of auction selling seats on it's New Shepard spacecraft. Bidding started at $1.4 billion for the auction. Blue Origin disclosed that the current highest bid for a seat on its New Shepard spacecraft was $2.4 million.
5,200 bidders from 136 countries placed their bets for a spacecraft seat in the first round of auction, the highest bid from which was not disclosed as the round was sealed.
Bezos' Blue Origin is targeting July 20 for its first suborbital sightseeing trip on its spacecraft.
