India on Tuesday recorded the lowest one-day spike in Covid-19 cases in nearly two months. The country logged 1.27 lakh new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry dashboard. This is the lowest daily tally of new cases in 54 days. The country also recorded 2,795 Covid deaths in 24 hours taking the total Covid fatalities to over 3.31 lakh.
The positivity rate has fallen sharply below 7% while the mortality rate has risen to over a 6-week high of 1.18%. Covid recovery rate has now risen above 92%.
The country has seen a drop in Covid cases in the last two weeks. The daily cases have been below the 2 lakh-mark since Friday.
