Unusual suspects: pup charged for 'getting lost' wins the internet

Puppy's day out ends with 'capture' by cops in Bangkok. Dog ran away from owner after he went to buy food.

Pup on the loose on Bangkok's streets. The internet had a field day as a cute pooch's mugshot was plastered all over everyone's feed.

Now named Natasha Romanov after the Marvel spy character, the little pooch ran away from her owner when he set her down in a backpack to go buy food.

A good samaritan found the pup roaming the streets of Bangkok and called the police to help the dog reunite with her owner.

Social media posts were flooded with mugshots of the retriever. The board accompanying the shot made it clear that the dog was being charged with 'getting lost'.

While many people offered to adopt the dog, the Bangkok police said that if no one claimed her, they would train her as the station canine.

Sadly for the police, her owner showed up at the station with proof of his ownership, leaving no choice for them but to give her back.

The Chinese man who owns her, Gu Qin Yuan, said he'd be heading back to China once the country reopens borders.
