Islamabad, Oct 16 (AP) Afghanistan's Taliban administration reported on Thursday that Pakistan executed two drone strikes in Kabul the previous day. The incidents on Wednesday occurred shortly before the two nations agreed to a ceasefire following the most severe violence experienced between them in recent years. Khalid Zadran, the spokesperson for Kabul's police chief, informed The Associated Press that the drone strikes took place on Wednesday afternoon. The first strike targeted a residential house, while the second impacted a marketplace. Although Zadran did not provide casualty figures, medical professionals at a local hospital disclosed that five individuals were killed and many more were injured. The surgical facility, operated by Emergency, a nongovernmental organization, detailed that the wounded suffered from shrapnel injuries, blunt force trauma, and burns. Zabihullah Mujahid, the primary spokesperson for the Taliban government, initially attributed the incident to an oil tanker explosion. (AP) GSP
