According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on expanding its multi-device feature to let users access the same account from multiple Android or iOS devices.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on expanding its multi-device feature to let users access the same account from multiple Android or iOS devices.

WhatsApp currently has multi-device support in open beta for all users, but the functionality is limited to one primary mobile device and up to four desktop devices.

However, the blog has shared a screenshot of a secondary mobile device downloading all of a user’s recent messages from the server. These messages appear to be end-to-end encrypted as well.

It is unclear at this time whether this multi-device support is intended for secondary mobile phones, or limited to iPads and Android tablets.
