Oppo’s Reno 14 5G just made mid-range cameras cool again

Oppo’s Reno 14 series debuts in India with 50MP front and rear cameras, AI photo tools, and sleek designs. The Reno 14 5G supports 4K 60fps video on both cameras—rare at this price. It goes on sale from July 8, starting at ₹37,999 for the base variant.

Oppo’s Reno 14 5G just made mid-range cameras cool again

Oppo has officially introduced the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro 5G in the Indian market along with the Pad SE. Coming to smartphones first, the devices are compact and offer impressive hardware along with some functional AI features.

In the camera department, you will see a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto. It also has a 50MP front camera.

From the photo samples, we can see that the colours out of the Reno 14 Pro’s main camera are stunning. The shots have great tone and details, the colours are punchy, and the subjects jump to life.

We also see get to see that the Reno 14 handles some tricky situations, like the ones under water really well.

The Ultrawide, despite being an 8MP sensor, also holds its own. Sure, the details are down a bit, but the colours, contrast etc, are pretty solid.

The devices also get features like AI Flash Photography, AI Style Transfer, AI Best Face, AI Recompose, AI Studio, and more.

You also get a 50MP selfie cam that does an incredible job. Again, the photos out of it are punchy and have great details.

In terms of video, the Reno 14 5G is capable of shooting 4K 60 fps from the rear as well as the back, which is a rarity at this budget.

Which brings us to the price. The Oppo Reno 14 5G is priced at Rs 37,999 for 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and Rs 39,999 for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The top end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage starts at Rs 42,999.

The devices will be available on Flipkart, Oppo e store, and other retail channel partners starting July 8.
