Nubia has launched the RedMagic 9 Pro series in China, introducing two new smartphones: the RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+.

These phones are notable for their large displays, triple cameras, and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors. Although currently available only in China, plans are underway to bring the series to Europe and potentially to India soon.

RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+ Specifications

The RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+ share a similar display configuration, featuring a 6.8-inch 1.5K OLED BOE Q9+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1600nits peak brightness.

This combination ensures smooth visuals and exceptional clarity during intense gaming sessions.

At the heart of the RedMagic 9 Pro series lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with the Adreno 750 GPU. This powerful chipset promises to deliver unrivalled performance, enabling seamless handling of demanding games and graphics-intensive tasks.

For capturing high-quality images and videos, both smartphones incorporate a triple rear camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP S5KGN5 OIS, complemented by a 50MP S5KJN1 ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP GC02M1 macro camera.

This combination provides versatility for capturing various types of shots, from expansive landscapes to intricate details.

In terms of selfies, the RedMagic 9 Pro and RedMagic 9 Pro+ both feature a 16MP front-facing camera, ensuring clear and crisp self-portraits and video calls.

Storage options for the RedMagic 9 Pro series vary depending on the model. The RedMagic 9 Pro offers 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB storage configurations, while the RedMagic 9 Pro+ provides 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 24GB+1TB options.

This range of storage options caters to different user needs, ensuring ample space for storing games, apps, and personal data.

Both smartphones run on Android 14-based Redmagic OS, providing a user-friendly and customizable interface. This operating system is optimized for gaming, offering features that enhance the overall gaming experience.

Powering the RedMagic 9 Pro is a 6,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging technology. For the RedMagic 9 Pro+, a 5,500mAh battery with 165W fast charging is employed.

These batteries ensure long-lasting performance during extended gaming sessions and rapid charging times for quick refills.

In addition to their core specifications, the RedMagic 9 Pro series offers a range of additional features that enhance the gaming experience.

These include WiFi 7 connectivity for ultra-fast and reliable network speeds, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port for rapid data transfers, NFC for contactless payments, Bluetooth v5.3 for seamless wireless connections, dual stereo speakers for immersive audio, a 3.5mm audio jack for wired headphones, and an IR blaster for convenient control of compatible devices.
