OnePlus 12 new renders reveal updated camera island and Hasselblad logo placement

OnePlus is gearing up to potentially make waves yet again. The industry is abuzz with speculation, following a fresh batch of OnePlus 12 new renders that hint at some significant changes in the OnePlus 12 camera island design.

As we inch closer to the official OnePlus 12 launch date, let's take a closer look at what these leaks might mean for avid tech enthusiasts.

Updated Visuals in the Latest OnePlus 12 Leak

The initial glimpses of the OnePlus 12 provided in July, crafted from CAD-based renders, showed a smartphone that boasted a centralized punch-hole display, coupled with a rear circular camera island housing three cameras.

However, a recent leak by a reliable source, OnLeaks, has unveiled a set of OnePlus 12 new renders showcasing a notable shift in the camera island design. This modified design exhibits four circles within the camera island, one more than what was seen previously.

Accompanying this change is a repositioning of the Hasselblad logo, which is now stationed on the left of the cameras, as opposed to its earlier placement between the camera rows.

Anticipated OnePlus 12 Specifications and Features

While OnePlus has maintained a steady silence regarding the official OnePlus 12 specifications and OnePlus 12 features, the rumor mill is operating at full swing. There's talk that the smartphone might see its initial release in China this December, followed by a worldwide release in January 2024.

Underneath the hood, speculations are rife about the integration of the yet-to-be-unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, accompanied by a powerful configuration of up to 24GB RAM and 256GB of storage capacity. On the software front, it's expected to run on an Android 14-based OxygenOS 14.

A Closer Look at the Display and Camera Setup

Diving deeper into the anticipated OnePlus 12 features, the smartphone is rumored to flaunt a 6.7" 120Hz QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display. This display promises to house a fingerprint scanner to facilitate biometric authentication, alongside a punch hole to accommodate a 32MP front-facing camera.

The rear camera setup is speculated to be quite a powerhouse, featuring a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 64MP periscope lens facilitating 3x optical zoom.

Battery and Charging Capabilities

To keep the device running smoothly, it is expected to be powered by a 5,400 mAh battery. This powerhouse is rumored to support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, ensuring that the device stays fuelled up through prolonged usage.

What's Next: OnePlus 12 Price and Launch Date

Though the official OnePlus 12 launch date and OnePlus 12 price have yet to be confirmed by the company, the technology community is keenly watching for updates. As anticipation builds, it's hoped that OnePlus will soon shed light on the various aspects surrounding the OnePlus 12, including its price bracket.

Wrap Up

As the OnePlus 12 launch date draws nearer, the industry remains on tenterhooks, eagerly awaiting further revelations that would provide a clearer picture of what the OnePlus 12 holds in store.
