Asus ROG Phone 6 series launched

The ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro bring top-end Qualcomm chipset and a host of specialised accessories to the gaming phone world.

Asus ROG Phone 6 series: The gaming-focused Asus ROG Phone 6 series has been officially launched. It succeeds the ROG Phone 5s series from last year.

ROG Phone 6 series specifications

The Asus ROG Phone 6 series is powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful SoC, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 and comes with up to 18GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The cooling system on these phones is supported by a 30 percent larger vapour chamber and 85 percent larger graphite sheets than before.

It also comes with a big 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate - the highest seen on an AMOLED smartphone panel yet. It is also the first gaming smartphone to sport an IPX4 rating for water resistance.

The 50MP primary rear camera of the phone is all-new. There’s also a 13MP ultra-wide snapper and a third macro camera.

Both phones are fueled by a big 6,000mAh battery and it recharges at 65W.

ROG Phone 6 series gaming accessories

As always, an ecosystem of modular accessories differentiates the ROG Phone 6 from others. These include AeroActive Cooler 6, ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, and a clip-on AeroActive Cooler 6 with an AI-powered thermoelectric cooler.

The phone series is priced between £899-1,099.
