The car which was found parked near Mukesh Ambani's house in Mumbai, was stolen from Mumbai's Vikroli area and the police have identified its real owner, news agency ANI reported on Friday quoting Mumbai Police. The suspect who parked the car has not been identified as he was wearing a face mask and a hoodie, the police have added. The investigators have also clarified that gelatin found in the car was not military-grade but commercial-grade which is generally used in construction-related digging. Earlier, reports had said that a threat letter addressed to Mukesh Ambani was found in the car, but the police have not given any details on it.
The abandoned car outside Antilla in South Mumbai had triggered panic among security agencies on Thursday evening. Reports said that the Mahindra Scorpio car had the same registration plate as one of the cars in Ambani's security detail. The CCTV footage from the area also reportedly showed a man parking the Scorpio near Antilla and leaving in another white car. Mumbai Police have formed 8 teams to probe the case.
