Ferrari has unveiled the 296 GTB that features the Italian carmaker&rsquo;s first V6 hybrid powertrain. It is the third plug-in hybrid car from Ferrari after La Ferrari and SF90 Stradale. The new 296 GTB is a spiritual successor to the Ferrari Dino bringing back six cylinders to the prancing horse. Power on the new Ferrari 296 GTB comes from the 3.0-litre V6 engine, which combined with an electric motor offers 818 bhp and 740 Nm of peak torque. The electrically-assisted engine enables the car to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 2.9 seconds, while the 200 kmph mark comes up in 7.3 seconds. The top speed is rated 330 kmph. The digital-heavy cabin is derived from the SF90 Stradale. The Ferrari 296 GTB will compete against the McLaren Artura globally and the hybrid coupe will make its way to India at a later date.

Tata Motors had previously said that Butschek wanted to relocate to Germany at the end of his contract for personal reasons. Pursuant to this, Girish Wagh is being appointed as the Executive Director to the Tata Motors board with effect from July 1, 2021. Girish Wagh will continue in his role as the President of the Commercial Vehicle division, while Shailesh Chandra serves as the President of the Passenger vehicle division. Both will continue to work closely with the Chairman, N Chandrasekaran.

And the company has created the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex with an overall investment of Rs. 75,000 crore. The new facility will be located in Jamnagar in Gujarat on 5,000 acres. The announcement was made at the company virtual Annual General Meeting call. Reliance has shared a three-part plan for the new energy business that includes building four Gigafactories to produce fuel cell batteries. The company plans to harness energy from solar, and green hydrogen, while also building energy storage solutions. Reliance says it plans to create a fully integrated, end-to-end renewable energy ecosystem.

BMW India has launched the 2021 5 Series facelift with prices starting at ₹ 62.90 lakh for thea 530i M Sport, going up to ₹ 71.90 lakh for the 530d M Sport. All prices are ex-showroom India. The 2021 BMW 5 Series gets a mid-cycle update. Visual tweaks on the BMW 5 Series facelift include new L-shaped LED DRLs, full-LED Adaptive headlamps, revised grille and bumpers as well as smoked LED taillights. The cabin comes with two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument console and the infotainment system. The latter now comes with wireless Android Auto, along with Apple CarPlay. The user interface has been updated with the new iDrive 7 that offers more personalisation options. The 530i comes with Sports seats while the 530d gets Comfort seats. Both come with Sensatec perforated leather. The new 5 Series is offered with the 2.0-litre petrol and diesel, as well as the 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine. All versions are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. Deliveries for the new 5 Series will begin soon.

Talking about how better we can deal with the situation, he says, "There's a lot of misinformation out there that has really gotten in the way of science-driven public health responses. Audi India has finally announced the launch date for the e-tron electric SUV and the model will go on sale on July 22, 2021. The Audi e-tron is the brand&rsquo;s first all-electric offering in India and will take on the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace in the segment. The e-tron SUV looks sharp with the massive single-frame grille, Matrix LED headlamps with LED DRLs, and a conventional roofline. The rear profile gets wraparound LED taillights connected end-to-end. The SUV uses two electric motors that develop 355 bhp and 561 Nm of peak torque. This goes up to 408 bhp and 664 Nm in the boost mode. The electric offering can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 200 kmph. Audi claims a range of 452 km on a single charge from the 95 kWh battery pack. It can be fully charged in eight and a half hours using a regular charger. The new Audi e-tron will be priced between Rs. 1 crore and 1.2 crore (ex-showroom).
