Australia blocked New Zealand's bid to reach the World Cup semi-finals as Aaron Finch’s men cruised to an 86-run victory against the Black Caps. Courtesy pacer Trent Boult's hat-trick, the Kiwis managed to restrict Australia to 243-9. Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey starred for the Aussies, adding 107 runs for the 6th wicket. Kiwis however struggled to build a partnership throughout their innings. Pacer Mitchell Starc's 5-wicket haul demolished the Black Caps. New Zealand slumped to 157 all out with 38 balls to spare. This second defeat in a row leaves New Zealand uncertain of a semi-final berth.
