Olympic Champion Carolina Marin thrashed World Champion PV Sindhu in straight games to win the Swiss Open on Sunday. As Sindhu faced her first Top 10 opponent of the tournament in the final, she was schooled 21-12, 21-5. There were no Chinese and Japanese competing in the tournament, Sindhu's lack of form was evident in the final as she surrendered the 2nd game 21-5 without a fight. Since winning the World Championship in August 2019, Sindhu has played 14 tournaments and reached the final only once. She next plays at the All England Championship starting 17th March.
