Ever since ICC decided to ban the use of saliva to shine the ball, many cricketers have voiced their concerns about how difficult it will be for the bowlers and Bhuvneshwar Kumar too joined that list. Regarded as India's swing king, Bhuvi during a chat with Sportzpower said that a bowler who can clock 145 kmph won't be affected in any way because he is going to increase the pace of his deliveries. But it does become a challenge for a bowler like him who relies on the swing a lot. With no swing, it's all going to be a batsman's game. Bhuvi added that shining the ball is a very important part of cricket, not just for a swing bowler but for a spinner as well. If you don't shine the ball, your ability gets reduced to half.
