Windies demolish Afghanistan in one-off Test

Nov 29, 2019 13:30 IST

Coming off 2 wins against Ireland and Bangladesh in the longest format, Afghanistan went into the Lucknow Test aiming to become the first team to win 3 of its first 4 test matches but were crushed in less than 3 days by West Indies. Jason Holder's men beat them by 9 wickets in the one-off Test to lift the trophy. Resuming day 3 at 109/7, Afghanistan were bowled out for a paltry 120 in their 2nd innings. Chasing mere 31 to win, the Windies had just 1 hiccup but John Campbell's unbeaten 19 sealed an easy win.
