Verve Renewables, a Chandigarh-based renewable energy company is on the look out for a solution for stubble burning. As the air quality over parts of North India continues to deteriorate, there needs to be a viable solution for the problem. Stubble burning remains a major source of air pollution in the country. Verve Renewables collects this stubble, transfers it to a sugar mill that further converts residue into energy and generates electricity from it. The company began this process in 2018 and this year they aim to collect 1.5 lakh tons of stubble.
