A new school in New Orleans in the United States is preparing its students for careers in coastal protection and restoration, keeping in mind the ongoing climate crisis. The New Harmony High School opened last Fall and offers classes to tackle environmental issues. Since land loss is a common problem in South Louisiana, that's one issue that these classes aim to tackle. Outside the classroom, students spend a day every week interning with organisations that focus on environment-related issues. The aim, according to the community coordinator, is to have an understanding of our impact on the environment.
