Force Motors has teased the new-generation Gurkha off-road SUV ahead of its launch a few weeks from now. The model was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and gets a host of cosmetic and feature upgrades, along with a BS6 compliant engine. The new Force Gurkha BS6 will retain its boxy design but will get a new single-slat grille. The circular headlamps now come with integrated LED DRLs, while upgrades include the new bumper with fog lights, clamshell bonnet with indicators and a black-coloured snorkel intake. The SUV is also expected to get better quality materials and features in the cabin with a touchscreen infotainment system, a new three-spoke steering wheel, power windows, ABS, dual front airbags, and forward-facing rear seats. Power will come from the Mercedes-Benz sourced 2.6-litre diesel engine tuned for 89 bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It will also get 4x4 as a standard feature. The new Gurkha will take on the Mahindra Thar and the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in the segment.

The new S 1000 R shares its engine, frame and swingarm with its full-faired sibling. The bike has seen a complete design change over the older model, while power comes from the 999 cc in-line 4-cylinder engine with 162 bhp and 114 Nm of peak torque. At least 80 Nm of torque is available from 3,000 rpm. BMW Motorrad has begun accepting bookings for the new S 1000 R across dealerships. The model will compete against the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS in India.

A five members team of CID and Scientific Forensic laboratory from Guwahati have started it's investigation into Abhayakuti remote where two young sister's death bodies in mysterious condition hanging on a tree on Friday last under Kokrajhar police station.
The CID team arrived at the victim's family members at Abhayakuti village to investigate into the two sister's bodies recovered incident in Kokrajhar.
The team has been assessing and inspected all angles over the bodies recovered in Kokrajhar. The CID and Scientific Forensic laboratory team also visited at the spot where young girl's bodies recovered.
It may be mentioned that two sisters of a family were found hanging on a tree,who were identified as Robita Rabha (15) and Somaina Rabha (13). The CID team collected all information into the incident and interacted with family members.
The CID team officials told that the team has assessed all corners of the incident. The CID team expressed their hopeful that the reports would be coming out shortly after completion of the investigation.
Locals demanded that the involved culprits must be punished through the strict investigation.
On Sunday,Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited at the Abhaikuti and took stock about the incident.

Earlier police have arrested Bura Bhay on June 6 in connection with this murder case.
As per reports, on 16 May, a person named Subi Shutang was murdered by Sar Tamaha and Bura Bhay at Jirikinding in West Karbi Anglong.
Following this, the police have registered a case under section 302/34 IPC at Jirikinding police station and arrested them.

Following the incident, Sukchar police have arrested one person on Monday.
The person has been identified as Aliul Islam. He surrendered himself at the police station. Police team in search of other two accused.
Local people at the village alleged that both the minors were killed by Aliul Islam over a trivial issue. Sources informed that Enamul Hussain&rsquo;s children who are said to allegedly killed by Aliul who were driving out their goat which entered the residence of Aliul Islam.
Following the incident, Aliul allegedly attacked both the minors and choked both the siblings to death and made an attempt to throw their bodies in the river Brahmaputra, claimed the sources.
Speaking to the media, police said, "We have arrested Aliul Islam in connection with the two minors murder case at South Salmara. An investigation is going on. Police team in search of other two accused. Earlier, he was escaped from the spot. But we have arrested him."

Then, he asked how many days the children did not receive the rice.
