While updating its guidelines on Wednesday, the World Health Organisation urged people to wear masks while indoors in the presence of other people, in case of poor ventilation. The WHO said even if the space is well ventilated but physical distance cannot be maintained, people in shops, schools, workplaces should wear masks. Unless ventilation has been assessed to be adequate, a non medical mask must be worn.
