Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra stopped her speech in UP's Mathura on Tuesday when a rape survivor's mother and some other people raised slogans demanding justice in the case. The protest was about a rape case in Rajasthan, where Congress government is in power. Priyanka, who was addressing a kisan rally, stopped and got down from the stage to meet the protesters. She reportedly dialled Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot from the spot who assured immediate action. The woman's daughter was allegedly raped in Bharatput in Rajasthan, which borders Uttar Pradesh. She lives with relatives in Mathura and decided to go to the Congress rally when she heard Priyanka Gandhi would come for it.
