Game developer Bethesda has made it's Quake II title free to download for a 72-hour period, starting from 12PM Eastern Time in the US. To download the game, users will need to log in to the Bethesda Launcher. Smartphone maker Infinix has launched a new entry-level offering, the Infinix Smart 5. It features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display and an unspecified 1.8GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 128GB of storage. There&rsquo;s a 13MP primary camera paired with two QVGA sensors and an 8MP selfie camera housed in a waterdrop notch. The 5,000 mAh battery supports 10W charging over micro USB. The Infinix Smart 5 will make its way in the country soon though exact dates or pricing haven&rsquo;t been revealed yet.

It features a 6.38-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 665 processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. There&rsquo;s a 48MP quad rear camera setup and a 16MP selfie snapper in a U-shaped punch-hole cutout. Keeping the lights on is a 4,500mAh battery that comes with 18W fast charging support. The Vivo S1 Prime will go on sale in Myanmar from August 15 for MYR 389,800 (&not;₹21,700). Indian availability hasn&rsquo;t been announced yet.

Apple's iOS 13.6.1 update has been rolled out to users, bringing with it fixes for a green screen tinting issue faced mostly by some iPhone 11 users. The update also addresses issues with storage space and the new Exposure Notification framework for Covid-19 contact tracing. Apple has said in its changelog notes that the tinting issue was being caused by a "thermal management issue", which the new update has fixed.

Microsoft has finally announced the launch of its Surface Duo foldable smartphone in the US on Sept 10, which will be available at a starting price of $1,399. The Surface Duo is a dual-screen phone and the company's first foray into mobile since the death of its Windows Phone. It features two 5.6-inch FHD+ OLED displays connected by a hinge that can rotate a full 360-degrees. It is also pretty slim: 4.8mm thin when opened, and 9.6mm thick when shut. The Duo is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage space. Tech giant Google is working on a worldwide Android phone-powered earthquake detection network that could eventually be able to automatically send warnings to people who could be impacted. The system is now rolling out for Android phones in California as part of the phased rollout and will use the accelerometer in the smartphone to detect seismic activity. Google expects to issue its first alerts based on accelerometer readings next year. Twitter is rolling out a new feature for iOS and Android users that limits who can reply to their tweets. Users will now have three options to choose from: everyone, only people they follow or only people they mention. Tweets with limited-replying will be labelled and the reply icon will be grayed out for people who can&rsquo;t reply. People who can&rsquo;t reply will still be able to view, retweet, retweet with comment, share, and like these tweets.

Chinese smartphone maker Realme has announced that it will launch the Realme C12 and Realme C15 in India on August 18. Realme has confirmed that C12 will pack a 6,000 mAh battery and is expected to be powered by a Helio P35 SoC, paired with 3GB RAM. The Realme C15, on the other hand, has already made its debut in Indonesia with a Helio G35 chipset, 6,000 mAh battery and a 13MP quad rear camera setup.
