India's ace wrestler Vinesh Phogat is all set to be recommended for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award by the Wrestling Federation of India. This will be the 2nd consecutive year that the 25-year-old will be recommended for country's highest sporting honour. Vinesh had missed the award last year as fellow wrestler Bajrang Punia got the prestigious award. Vinesh has been rewarded for her consistent performances for quite a while now. After clinching gold at the 2018 Asian Games, she went to win a bronze medal at the World Champions last year and became the lone women wrestler from India to qualify for the now-postponed Tokyo Olympics. Vinesh also won a bronze at the Asian Championships earlier this year.
