Vinesh Phogat tests positive for coronavirus

India's top woman wrestler Vinesh Phogat has tested positive for Covid-19 but is asymptomatic. The Asian and Commonwealth Games gold medallist tweeted that she is going into self-isolation. Phogat is one of the five athletes chosen for this year's Khel Ratna Award but will have to miss Saturday's virtual award distribution ceremony. Vinesh was training with her coach in Sonepat when her blood sample was taken. She was one of the first wrestlers to raise concerns about health safety when the Wrestling Federation of India planned to resume the national camp in Lucknow from September 1.
