Highly-awaited film 'Sarkar' which is set to hit the screens on November 6, has been embroiled in a plagiarism row. The South Indian Film Writers Association under filmmaker, Bhagyaraj recently announced that 'Sarkar’s' story is similar to 'Sengol'. Hitting back at Filmmaker Bhagyaraj, Director AR Murugadoss clarified that 'Sarkar' is set in 2018 and follows the current political climate including the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. In that case, how can a story that was written 11 years ago and 'Sarkar' which is based on current politics be the same?. The matter is now with the Madras High Court and the case will be heard today.
