The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) has released Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines for restaurants to follow in the pandemic era. The body has suggested a 2-metre gap between tables, seating people with their back towards each other or Plexiglass dividers of 2 metres depending on the availability of space and structure of the eatery. The temperature of all air conditioners should be set between 24-30 degrees and cross ventilation should be ensured. NRAI has suggested the appointment of a Health Ambassador from within the restaurant's team who can help ensure and lead preventative safety measures. The SOP covers all former guidelines by the WHO, FSSAI and Health Ministry.
