The US is expected to approve the UK-backed AstraZeneca-Oxford Covid vaccine in April, a senior official said. Moncef Slaoui, the chief advisor to Operation Warp Speed, the military-led US effort for vaccines, said, that the US trials and assessments would be complete for approval 'sometime in early April.' He further praised Britain's regulatory agency as 'science-based', and said he wasn't questioning the decision they had made in terms of vaccine approval to AstraZeneca-Oxford.
