An employee at the Sonic drive-in eatery was subsequently arrested, police said on June 4, 2023.
The accused, 54-year-old Jeffrey David Salazar was reportedly seen on video preparing the customer's food and then frantically searching the area as if he had lost something.
Salazar allegedly bought the cocaine from someone in the restaurant's parking lot.

Gurpartap Singh Walia, 56, and his son Sumrit Walia, 24, were arrested after an investigation was conducted to find a missing 13-year-old girl in April, a Calgary police statement said.
The girl who was located later revealed that she was in a relationship with Sumrit who allegedly provided her with alcohol, drugs, and vapes in exchange for sex, it said.
The Father-son duo worked at and owned Haddon Convenience Store in Calgary.
They also own Premier Liquor Wine and Spirits, located next door to the convenience store, where the assaults occurred, the statement said.
As the investigation progressed, the officers determined that the father and son were providing vapes, marijuana, cigarettes and alcohol to multiple other teenage girls, who were sexually assaulted at the businesses.
It is believed the incidents occurred between December 2022 and May 2023. The girls could not legally consent.
Police arrested both suspects on June 1.
A search warrant at a residence resulted in the seizure of 975 grams of cocaine with a street value of USD 97,500, and seven handguns.
Search warrants were also executed at the two businesses, which resulted in the seizure of a computer with child pornography, drugs and drug paraphernalia, contraband tobacco, vape cartridges and collapsible batons.
Sumrit was thus charged with one count of sexual interference with a minor, one count of sexual exploitation, one count of sexual assault, one count of possession of child pornography, and one count of accessing child pornography.
He is also charged with one count of creating child pornography, seven counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of extortion, three counts of uttering threats, one count of selling contraband tobacco to youth and one count of breach of a court order.
Meanwhile, his father Gurpartap Singh is charged with four counts of sexual assault, four counts of sexual interference with a minor and one count of selling contraband tobacco.&nbsp;

Parents who have pushed for more say in their children's education and the curriculum and materials available in schools have argued that they should control how their children are taught about matters like gender, sexuality and race.

In the statement that was also posted across the royal social media channels, the 74-year-old monarch speaks of the special place in his heart for India and reflects upon his fond memories of a visit to Odisha 43 years ago.
&ldquo;I do hope you know what a special place India and the people of India have in our hearts. I have particularly fond memories of visiting Odisha in 1980 and meeting some of its people on that occasion," it said.
"I pray, therefore, that you may be able to convey our most heartfelt prayers and sympathy to all those who have been affected by this appalling tragedy, together with our special thoughts for the people of Odisha,&rdquo; the King concludes.
The message follows several condolence messages from the UK government, including from Prime Minister Rishi Sunak who extended his &ldquo;heartfelt support and admiration to the survivors and those working tirelessly to respond&rdquo; to the accident.

"We have a lot of cows back home and this one can be considered excess, so we are bringing it here... to return it back to God," he told AFP.
"This is also an act of gratitude to God for giving us prosperity... We return it back to God so we can come back here next year."
The calf had a lucky escape as it was handed to a villager after Slamet's prayers instead of being sacrificed to the volcanic cauldron.
Some villagers who do not belong to the Tengger tribe took to the crater's steep slopes equipped with nets in an attempt to intercept offerings thrown into the abyss and avoid them going to waste.
Farmer Joko Priyanto brought some of his own produce in the form of cabbages and carrots to lob down into the smoky void.
"I hope I will receive a reward from the almighty God," the 36-year-old said.

Monday's ritual was the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic that authorities had allowed tourists to the site after the festival was limited to worshippers last year.
The event has its roots in 15th-century folklore from the Majapahit kingdom, a Javanese Hindu-Buddhist empire that stretched across Southeast Asia.
Legend has it that Princess Roro Anteng and her husband, unable to bear children after years of marriage, begged the gods for help.
Their prayers were answered when they were promised 25 children, as long as they agreed to sacrifice their youngest child by throwing him into Mount Bromo.
Their son is said to have willingly jumped into the volcano to guarantee the prosperity of the Tengger people.
For shopkeeper Rohim, who travelled from a nearby Javan city on Monday to launch potatoes, leeks and cash into the lava, it was a chance to pray for good luck. He said his fortunes had improved following previous visits.
"Business has been better than before, hence my coming here," the 32-year-old said.
"I'm hoping my business can improve so next year I can come back."
