Models were carried down a moving runway wearing white canvas straitjackets at the Gucci show at Milan Fashion Week. In what seems to be an unplanned protest, one model held up her hands painted with “mental health is not fashion”. The collection was less eccentric than Alessandro Michele's usual fare. Sheer sleeves and chain detailing took over the garments. Men were dressed in hot pink ruffled coats and leather jackets with puckered shoulders. It was the brand’s first carbon-neutral show and they celebrated individuality.
